FUMA Middle School Graduation

Today was the Middle School Graduation at FUMA. It was very nice. Brent did the invocation and benediction. The whole weekend has been filled with events. I've posted some graduation pictures, as well as some of the Faculty vs Cadets softball game. Brent is officially finished with the school year! We'll be leaving this weekend to travel to Ohio with our friends Brett and Mindy. It should be a lot of fun! I hope to have some pics to post when we return. Let the summer begin!!

Here are a few pictures from last weekend. It was Mrs. Miller's birthday. We went out to dinner with the Perkins' family. First, there are a couple of shots of Brent working on the new shed at the Miller's house. It's really coming along!

Field Day

It started off as a nice morning....beautiful clouds! But, it slowly got colder and colder!

Today is Mrs. Miller's birthday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!

Also, today is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL for me! It's field day (I remember those!), so I hope to have lots of pics to post. We get out at 1pm, so that means probably a 9am lunch! yikes!

We're then heading in to Richmond for Mrs. Miller's birthday. Sunday is the Camp Virginia dinner. Then, on Monday, I'm getting to use my spa gift certificate that Brent gave me as an early birthday gift. It should be awesome. Also on Monday, Brent and the FUMA middle schoolers are heading to DC for a fieldtrip. Tuesday is their field day, Wednesday is graduation parade, then Thursday is the Middle School Graduation.

We plan to leave on Saturday for our trip to Ohio with our FUMA friends Brett and Mindy. We plan on going to an amusement park and a baseball game. Should be a blast!

After 1pm today, SUMMER HAS BEGUN! (Truthfully, I'm really going to miss it here! I'm not ready to leave yet!) I haven't found anything concrete out about next year. I hope to get more info today. I'd really like to come back full time! We'll see!

Camp Friendship Fieldtrip

This past Friday and yesterday we took a two-part fieldtrip to Camp Friendship, a camp that is here in our county. It was a watershed study of the Rivanna River. The kids got to take a nature hike, do some water labs and activities, as well as take a canoe trip down the river. I must say, it was a lot of fun. The weather was beautiful. I've never been canoeing before...that's some work! I've posted a few pictures. There's even one of the nature walk guide pointing out a HUGE vine of poison ivy. Luckily, no one has gotten poison ivy...whew! I was quite worried! :)

Hope everyone had a great mother's day. The Miller's came to visit us. We went into Charlottesville for dinner. It was nice. Only 3 1/2 more day sof school to go! Hope today isn't absolutely crazy! Have a great day yourself!
