So, we're back in Richmond for the evening. Unfortunately, we had to come in for a funeral. It has been a nice little break back into civilization, though :) I have put a couple of pics that I took this last week. The kids came on Friday. It has been fun so far...I did have a little visitor in my cabin last night. Luckily, he/she was contained so that Charlie Blair could get him out for me :) He set him free outside...hope he doesn't decide to come back! Cute, but not so cute I want a mouse for a roomate!

Now, it's back to the car to head back to the land of Goshen :) Gotta get my nice clean sheets back on my bed in Splinterville :) Hope you enjoy the pics. More next time I get a chance! Until then...

We leave on Saturday for camp. I just lost everything that I had been typing for the past ten minutes, so to sum it up....

Tomorrow is Brent's 25th birthday, so in the middle of doing our final packing, we will celebrate :)

I've posted a few pics of camp that we took yesterday when we dropped off a load on our way from Abingdon the Richmond. I'll hopefully post more soon. I'll have very limited internet access, so SEND MAIL!! :)

Virginia Creeper Trail

We had a really nice and productive visit to Abingdon. On Tuesday, my parents, Brent, and myself went for a bike ride on the Virginia Creeper Trail. It is a trail that was once the track for a train called the Virginia Creeper. It was decommissioned in 1977. The Forestry Dept took over and turned it into a hiking and biking trail. We started at Whitetop Station and biked down to Damascus...17 miles! Luckily, it was downhill most of the way! Brent got a flat halfway through, but as luck would have it we ran into some of the senior citizens from the church I grew up in, Abingdon Baptist. It was a nice chance to see familiar faces. It was a fun ride. So, enjoy the pictures!

So, we've returned from the beach and are now in Abingdon for a few days. I've posted a few pictures from both the beach and Brent's graduation. I'll try to stop by tomorrow and narrarate a bit. We leave for camp on Saturday....PLEASE WRITE! :) I don't think I'll be able to check email but very few times, so send as much snail mail as you'd like :) I'll try my best to write back! Hope all is well with everyone! I'll try my best to be back tomorrow....enjoy the pics!

I can't believe it, but tomorrow we leave for the beach! I tried packing this afternoon....of course, I know I have WAY too much stuff, but I should be ready for any kind of weather!

Today, I had lunch with Boomba, Leslie, Buck, Betty, and Lauren (another new camp gal). It was a lot of fun. We talked about the kinds of things we need to bring to camp. I hope I'm ready! Word has it that there WILL BE a new flush toilet when we get there....YES!!! I'm getting excited :)

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday :) It was so nice to enjoy a day with family and friends. I spent the majority of the day with Brent's gandparents and Betty and Harry. Then, I worked on a craft project the rest of the afternoon. Just when I had finished, Ginnie Manley, Laura Slater, and Peyton Mawyer came to the Miller's house and suprised me with dinner and a girl's night. The rest of the house went out to dinner, and some to a movie, while we, the girls stayed playing games. It was a lot of fun!

Today, Brent and I were able to meet Brenda and Lauren for lunch. I stayed longer with them to go to a few stores. It was good to see them. Now, we're home from choir. It sure has been a busy week! I've really enjoyed myself.

So, now, it's time to hang out with everyone for a little while longer before heading for bed. Enjoy the rest of your week. Until next time...
