Up to my elbows...

So, here are a couple of shots of what my dining room looks like this afternoon....as well as a picture of what I'm up to my elbows in...MOD PODGE! As you can tell, my drying rack is preoccupied, so I hope that I haven't shrunk any of the clothes I'm currently drying in the dryer. I think I've almost completed around 15 more clipboards...that's about 30 total. If I have time before the bazaar I'll do a few more. I hope people actually want them!

I cannot believe that January is almost over. It is finally cold. After having some 70 degree days to ring in the new year, today it is 22 degrees currently, only planning on making it to the low 40s. I LOVE and prefer warm weather, but I'm so ready for some snow! :) We had few flurries the other day and the kids went crazy!

Sorry it has been awhile since I've posted. Not much has been going on. I'm still waiting for the teacher at school to have her baby so that I can start my long-term job. They haven't been scheduling me since they want to have me available for her. It has been nice because I have been able to get things straight at home. I'll be able to put more of my focus on school.

On Sunday, I was able to get a lot accomplished with my crafts. I completed 14 clipboards as well as finishing a number of note cards. I've probably hand-drawn and colored around 100 so far. Last night, I packaged what I had completed. I'm really getting excited, but maybe carried away with this bazaar! :) I just want everything to look nice. It's all about the presentation! (and Cate, I have your designs ready.....I'll email you and we'll talk! Thanks!)

So, it's time to get to work on more clipboards. Dusty would LOVE to have a long walk today....that needs to go on the list, too!

January 11, 2007

Finally, another cold day....now, if ony we could get some snow!

We are going on our thrid day without cold water. Yes, we have hot, but not cold.....just a bit strange, I must say. The pipe burst underneath the house. The man finally came today and said he would be back in a little while with his gear. We've been having to fill the tub hours before we need to bathe so the water can cool down. It'll be a funny story to talk about later!

I found out that there is going to be a bazaar at the local Parks and Rec in March. I'm going to try out some of my work and see how people here respond to it. I'm excited. We plan to display Brent's photography, too.

Last night, Brent's Middle School Basketball team won their second game in a row....both since we've been back from Christmas break. They have another game tomorrow night...cross your fingers!! (Dusty is so bored with me right now....he just took his post at the front window, laid his head down, and sighed! I need to get myself in gear and take him on a walk!)

Hope all is well in your world! Love to hear how your holiday turned out!
