Back to camp!

We're back at Camp Virginia for another summer. It's been pretty hot and humid these past few days. I'm ready for it to cool off a bit, but that's wishful thinking. The campers arrived this past Friday, so we're only at the start of their three-week stay. Of course, there are already some homesick little guys, but that should pass. Here's a picture of the new golf cart that was given to camp as a gift.....crazy, huh!


I went down to Rolesville to attend my brother and sister-in-law's baby shower for my sson-to-be niece, Madison. They recieved so many wonderful gifts...especially little girl clothes (who can resist buying those!). She is due August 9th. Here are a few pics....enjoy!

Our Vacation's End

Yes, that's the sight we saw for the last few days of our beach vacation. It got up to 72 today (heat wave!), but we're going to be headed into some hot days next week. It's forcasted to be in the mid 90s!

Here's a picture of the family. Dennis and Diane came to join us, as did Mr. Miller on Wednesday night (around 2am!). Everyone is chatting about "old times" right now. We head out in the morning for home, then it's off to Camp Virginia on Sunday (Brent's birthday).

Vacation at the OBX

I have a couple of pictures of our vacation so far this week. I think we are picking up our wireless signal from a neighbors house, so I thought I'd try to upload some pics while it's available. It's a bit windy today and getting cooler, so we're hanging out inside. It's forcasted to rain the rest of the week. I guess we'll just have to resort to shopping, then :)

The "finished" product...

We've finished all we are going to do to the shed before we leave for the summer. It's really coming along. A couple more coats of paint and Brent will be ready to start organizing the inside. Tomorrow we leave for the beach! I'm ready to relax in the sun (without a paintbrush in hand!). Have a wonderful summer and email anytime!

It's getting there...

The shed is almost finished! Once we put on the final coat of paint (which will be a deep red...we hope), the building of the shed should be complete. I doubt we'll get the paint on until we get back from camp.

Speaking of, we leave this Saturday for the beach. Then, we leave the next Saturday for out 7 weeks at Camp Virginia. I'm so happy that we have found neighbors nice enough to watch Dusty. I'll feel so much better knowing he's home and not in a kennel! I hope to be able to post from camp. I plan on taking my computer for the online class I'll be taking in July. I'll try to post as many pics as possible from the summer.
