And we're off......!

Well, our fast-paced summer has begun! We took a trip to Ohio (Michigan and Indianna) with our friends Brett and Mindy from FUMA. It was a lot of fun. We visited their family, Cedar Point Amusement Park, and a Detroit Tigers baseball game...all over the Memorial Day weekend. When we got back, we went to Richmond for a couple of days to visit Brent's family who was in town. It was his grandmother's birthday yesterday!

I've come home to work on laundry and packing, while Brent is busy in Richmond working hard on building the shed at his parents' house. We leave on Thursday for Abingdon, Saturday to Asheville, NC for a wedding, afterwards to my brother's in Rolesville, then to the Outer Banks for a week at the beach with Betty and Harry (Brent's Aunt and Uncle). The Sunday after we return, it's off to Camp Virginia. I'm there a week, then off to Waynesburg, PA with my parents to help out my old youth minister with Bible School. Return to CV, then head to Kentucky in July for a wedding (hopefully seeing Dr. Meghan on that trip), then back to CV. I'm not planning on having a full-time teaching position in the fall, but if by some miracle I do, I'll have to leave the last week of July for new teacher stuff. Camp ends August 5th, and we're then back to everyday life (and hopefully some calm and quiet)!.

During all this, Dusty plans to be at his own summer camp! I'm a little nervous about it, but he'll only be 45 minutes from camp. I hope he does well. We're calling his Houdini right now because everytime we've put him in his new metal crate and we leave, we return to be greeted by him at the door! So, we hooked up the video camera last night and caught how he does it. I'm so worried he's going to get hurt! He squeezes through the front pannel and the side pannel (after a few attempts) and finally frees himself. I'm running out of options with him! :) Hopefully, he'll stay at his boarding kennel! Crazy doggie! :)

Hope everyone is ready to enjoy a wonderful summer themselves! I have lots of pictures, but not the time to post them. Hopefully, I'll be able to write like I did last year from the local library. Please write us at camp!
