Old Farm Day

Today was Old Farm Day at Pleasant Grove in Fluvanna County. It's a day where old ways of life are relived through demonstrations and crafts. Brent's group "Just Us" sang at the event for the second year in a row. This year the weather cooperated much better than it did last. Even though it was cloudy, the rain and cold held off and it was an overall pleasant day. Here are a few pictures including a cool dog who is trained to protect livestock and farm animals. Check out how the pup was in the same pen as the crazy-curly chickens! There's even a site to see in the pic of a not-so-everyday couple: a scottish man in a kilt and a civil war soldier :) Last, but not least, I couldn't help including the pic of the baby with all the hair....I think it almost looks like a wig! Watch him be bald by 30 :)

Tomorrow Kathryn and I are going back to paint more pottery with a couple others coming along. I can't wait to see how last week's pieces turned out. We're so ahead of the game for Christmas!! Now, if I only knew what to get Brent!

Now it's time to try working on my paper for British Lit. Wish me luck!
